Water & Meals
Glass of water before coffee [fill the glass the night before], water bottle where you sit most [just put it there once], eat something within 2 hours of waking [keep one grab item stocked], one fruit or vegetable with lunch [keep one that needs no prep], decide tomorrow's first meal tonight [just decide, do not prep], sit down to eat one meal a day [one meal, not all], keep three boring backup meals stocked [write the list once]
Movement
10-minute walk after one meal [to the corner and back], stretch while the kettle boils [one stretch], stairs when it is two floors or less [one floor], stand up every time you finish a task [just stand, sit back down], get off one stop early or park farther [once a week], two-song kitchen dance [one song], chores count as movement - log them [log one]
Sleep & Evenings
Phone charges outside arm's reach [across the room, not another room], lights lower after a set hour [one lamp off], write tomorrow's top thing before bed [one word], same wake time within an hour, even weekends [within two hours], screens off 30 minutes before bed [10 minutes], a repeatable wind-down cue: shower, page of a book, stretch [just the cue, nothing after], 2-minute bedroom reset before sleep [clear just the bed]
Attention & Stress
One screen break mid-morning [look out a window for 30 seconds], step outside once before noon [open the window], three slow breaths before opening email [one breath], write the worry down instead of re-thinking it [one line], one app moved off the home screen [moved, not deleted], 10 quiet minutes no input [2 minutes], notifications off for one app [just one]
Connection & Mood
Message one person you like, no reason [an emoji counts], note one thing that went okay today [one word], sit somewhere different for 10 minutes [2 minutes], daylight on your face in the first hour [stand at the window], say the thing you are glad about out loud [think it], one small tidy of the space you see most [one object]
How To Pick (read this first)
Choose the habit that sounds almost too easy - that reaction is the sign it is the right size. Attach it to something you already do. Track it on the Daily Rhythm page for a week before judging it. Happens 5 of 7 days? Keep it. Happens 2 of 7? Use the bracket version. If the bracket version does not happen either, it is the wrong habit for this season - drop it without a verdict and pick another.
The library is a menu, not a to-do list. One habit done most days beats six habits done twice.
